Peds on Wheels was created to provide the children of Erie and Huron counties access to pediatricians regardless of the type of insurance or ability to pay.

We offer in home visits, as well as walk in clinic, no appointment necessary.

Well-child visits
Vaccinations
RSV, Influenza and Strep rapid tests
Lab draws
Asthma management
Sports and school physicals
Virtual visits for common ailments such as: rashes, hives, eczema, sore throats, pink eye and much more!
Well Child Care
Physical and developmental assessments after delivery, then at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 15 months, then yearly. During well child visits, infants receive immunizations following the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. Your child's weight, height and head circumfrence are charted and graphed to ensure optimal growth and brain development.
Sick Visits
You can walk into our clinic from 10-4 Monday-Friday or ask for a home visit if your child is acutely ill. We stock IV medications, respiratory solutions, and have the medical supplies to repair lacerations and perforn circumcisions. All of your child's care is performed by or under the supervision of a Board Certified physician.
Dr. Robert Johnson, DO
Dr. Johnson graduated from Michigan State College of Medicine in 1995. He completed his Pediatric Residency at MetroHealth Systems in Cleveland 1995-1998 and also served as Chief Resident 1998-1999. In 1984, Dr. Johnson joined the Army and has been deployed to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Belize, Bahrain and Jordan. In 2011, he was promoted to a full bird Colonel.
Mandy Johnson, CNP
In 2006, Mandy received her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and started working as a case manager for outpatient pediatric patients at Firelands Regional Medical Center. She became a pediatric nurse after graduating from Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing in 2011. After graduating from the University of Alabama with her nurse practitioner degree in 2016, she and Dr. Johnson started Peds on Wheels.
Jessica Spencer, CNP
Jessica graduated with her nursing degree from Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing. She worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse, taking care of women and babies for 10+ years at Firelands. During this time, she went back to school and recieved her BSN from Ohio University in 2012. Jessica then decided to continue on for her masters degree and graduated from Walden Univeristy in 2017 with her NP. After graduating, Jessica worked for as a Family Health NP with NOMS healthcare and subspecialized in Women's Health. She then joined Peds on Wheels in August of 2021 in the role of Women's Health NP.
Lauren Binks, CNP
Lauren's nursing career started at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center where she started as a PCT and progressed to unit charge RN in the ICU for 6 years. Lauren completed her pediatric rotation with Mandy and Dr. Johnson and joined the team shortly after graduating with her Masters Degree. Lauren has obtained several degrees, including her Associates, Bachelors, and Masters in Nursing. She has been with Peds on Wheels since 2019.
